Dr. Warren Southerland is Double Board Certified and Ivy League trained in Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology. He completed a residency in Anesthesiology and a fellowship in Interventional Pain Management
Dr. Southerland went to college at Vanderbilt University, where he graduated Cum Laude. He then began his extensive medical education at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine in Memphis, Tennessee. After, he completed a general surgery internship at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Dr. Southerland continued his residency training in Anesthesiology at Harvard’s Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts and completed an Interventional Pain Management Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Southerland is an active member of the Spine Intervention Society, Texas Medical Association, American Society of Anesthesiologists, and Harris County Medical Society. He has published multiple articles and presentations in Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology and continues to work on academic projects. Dr. Southerland is excited for the opportunity to provide excellent care to the people of Houston.
