Dr. Bonaventure Ngu joins Minivasive’s team of specialists after dedicating many years in The Woodlands and Humble communities, where he helped to address neck and back pain stemming from degenerative conditions, deformities, and traumatic injuries.
Originally from Cameroon, West Africa, Dr. Ngu earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the esteemed University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore. He honed his expertise during his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Maryland Medical Center’s Shock Trauma Center, where he developed a profound understanding of the intricate nature of spinal issues and a fervor for aiding individuals with spinal disorders and injuries. Furthering his specialization, Dr. Ngu pursued a fellowship in spine surgery at the renowned Leatherman Spine Institute in Louisville, Kentucky.
Dedicated to employing minimally invasive approaches whenever feasible, Dr. Ngu prioritizes techniques that offer optimal results while minimizing harm to healthy tissues. Proudly affiliated with the LESSociety, advocating for less exposure surgery, Dr. Ngu utilizes LES®️ techniques to mitigate blood loss, radiation exposure, and surgical duration.
Beyond surgical interventions, Dr. Ngu is passionate about integrating supportive therapies into his patients’ treatment plans, empowering them with the knowledge and skills to maintain spinal health. Recognizing the uniqueness of each patient, he approaches medicine as both an art and a science.

His dedication to excellence has earned him recognition as one of America’s top orthopedic surgeons by the Consumers’ Research Council of America in 2012 and as one of Houston’s Top Doctors by H Texas Magazine in 2014.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Ngu finds joy in his role as a proud father to four lovely daughters.
